Joint Posterior Density
Definition
The joint posterior density over multiple latent variables is the posterior density considered as a function of all of them together, for example
$$p(z_A,z_B\mid x).$$Why it matters in Q1
The contour plots are visualizations of the joint posterior density or of its variational approximation.
