Two-Level Factorial Design

A two-level factorial design is a factorial design in which each factor is studied at exactly two levels, usually coded as $-$ and $+$ or as $-1$ and $+1$.

With $k$ factors, the design has $2^k$ treatment combinations.

These designs are especially useful in early-stage screening studies because they allow many factors to be examined efficiently.
